Mir persönlich fallen da nur wenige bekanntere Bands ein, die aus dem Genre kommen und And One als Headliner Konkurrenz machen könnten.
Wer schon seit über 25 Jahren (Gegründet 1989) im Geschäft ist, sollte mittlerweile auch groß genug sein.

Die Band an sich habe ich schon vor fast einem Jahrzehnt auf einem anderen Festival erleben dürfen und war – auch wenn ich die Musik sehr selten höre – einfach überzeugt. Das hat die Gruppe auch dieses mal wieder geschafft.

Leider war ich nicht nah genug an der Bühne dran um viel mit zu bekommen, was sich dort abgespielt hat. Wir haben es vorgezogen in etwas Entfernung einen freien Platz tanzenderweise aus zu nutzen. Und ganz ehrlich: Wenn And One auftritt; was kann man besseres machen als sich dazu zu bewegen?

Wenig Fluktation

Die Band an sich besteht aus vier Leuten, welche sich den Gesang, ein Schlagzeug und die Keyboards teilen. Es gab relativ wenige Fluktuation der Mitglieder und viele alte Mitglieder, die die Band zwischenzeitlich verlassen hatten sind auch immer wieder zurück gekehrt. So ist der Sound, welcher schon von Anfang an ausgezeichnet worden war immer noch in einer Qualität, die an die Anfänge heran reicht.
Jedoch gibt es hier auch einige Stimmen, die bei einigen Liedern versteckten Nationalismus vermuten. Da die Lieder sehr viel Interpretationsspielraum lassen, kann dies natürlich auch passieren.
Hier sei dann das Lied Steine sind Steine genannt, welches mit dem Liedtext „erst kommt Stolz, dann kommt dein Land“ auffällt.
Gleichzeitig muss aber dann auch das Lied Deutschmaschine genannt werden, welcher vor einer vergangenen „Deutschmaschine“ warnt indem das Lied sie als lebendig bezeichnet und auch den anderen „Maschinen“ sagt das sie die falschen bekämpfen.

Ich persönlich habe mir auf jeden Fall vorgenommen mehr Lieder und Texte von And One mir aktiv an zu hören.
Auch werde ich sicherlich die nächste Gelegenheit die Gruppe live zu sehen nicht entgehen lassen.
