Mit dabei, als Vorband, war der eher unerfahrene John Astray.

John Astray hat seine Stücke, welche durch einen Schlagzeuger begleitet wurden meist sehr melancholisch vorgetragen. Auch die Ansagen zwischen den Stücken waren meist mehr monoton bis melancholisch. Er wies auch selber darauf hin, das dies sein zweiter Auftritt vor einer größeren Menschenmenge war. Dennoch spielte er sehr gut und ohne Fehler. Lediglich die Dauer seines Auftrittes hatte er etwas unterschätzt, so das die Reiter ihn baten, zwei Lieder als „Zugabe“ zu spielen, welche er nicht eingeplant hatte.
Wenn ich auch geschrieben habe, das er überwiegend melancholische Texte hat, so kann er auch fetzige Lieder spielen. Dies hat er beim Auftritt ebenfalls bewiesen.

Nach dem Auftritt von John Astray, gab es natürlich eine kleine Umbaupause, bis Die Apokalyptischen Reiter selber am Zuge waren. Hier spielten sie alt bekanntes und auch ein paar (für mich) neue Stücke auf, die ich allesamt in dieser Version nie zuvor gehört habe. Das ist auch sehr logisch, da ich Die Akustischen Reiter bis jetzt noch nicht kennengelernt habe.
Insgesamt kamen alle Lieder sehr kraftvoll und mit viel Atmosphäre rüber, so das man dem Konzert sehr gut folgen konnte. Natürlich hat sich bei der Akustik gezeigt, das die Reiter selber schon einige Zeit im Geschäft sind und auch entsprechend professionell mit ihren Instrumenten umgehen können.

Die Apokalpytischen Reiter im Hirsch
Meiner Meinung nach war leider der Bass etwas übersteuert, was ich aber eher der Technik der Location zuschreiben mag. Dies ist mir schon ein paar Mal bei anderen Auftritten aufgefallen. Auch hätte, da es um Akustik ging, ein stärkerer Schwerpunkt beim Sänger liegen sollen.
Insgesamt ist es auf jeden Fall ein Erlebnis wert, die Reiter im Akustischen zu hören, auch wenn man sie bisher so nicht kennt.
