17 Aug 2014 15:20:39 +0000 https://satishu.de/?p=366 Mit Hocico gab es den Auftritt der Gruppe, die von Hildesheim wohl am weitesten entfernt ist. (Von den von mir gesehenen Bands.)

Die Band ist bereits 1993 gegründet worden, aber leider kenne ich sie erst seit ca. einem Jahrzehnt. Damals habe ich sie zufällig live gesehen und bin seitdem begeistert.
Hocico hat auch in Deutschland ihre größte Fan-Gemeinde, so dass sie immer wieder bei schwarzen Festivals auftritt.

Der Auftritt an sich war großartig, soweit ich ihn mitbekommen habe. Leider haben wir uns im Vorfeld mit Leuten verquatscht, so dass wir in der sehr stark gefüllten Halle nur wenig Platz gefunden hatten. Daher kann ich auch nichts darüber berichten wie die Bühnenperformance auf dem M’era Luna 2014 gewesen ist.
Aus Erfahrung weiß ich jedoch, dass Hocico sich einiges einfallen lässt um ihre sowieso nicht langweilige Musik mit einem guten Bühnenprogramm noch weiter an zu heizen.

Die Musik der Gruppe ist meist in Spanisch oder Englisch gehalten und behandelt sehr viel die Darstellung von Hass, Gewalt und auch die Ablehnung von Religion.
Auch sozialkritische Lieder sind im Repertoire der Band zu finden. So hat die Gruppe mittels den Liedern Starving children und Tales from the third world versucht Aufmerksamkeit auf die sozialen Missstände ihrer Heimat zu lenken.

Ich werde mir die Band immer wieder anschauen, sobald ich die Gelegenheit dazu habe.
Dazu werden – nach Möglichkeit – nicht nur Festivals dienen, sondern auch Einzelkonzerte.
