die ich noch nicht gelesen habe, habe ich genau „Der Katastrophen-Planet“ heraus genommen um es mit auf meine längere Fahrt in das neue Büro zu nehmen.

Der Katastrophen-PlanetÜber das Buch

Dieses Buch ist von Patrick Moore geschrieben und erzählt die futuristische Geschichte von Scott Sanders.
Es handelt sich hierbei um einen Folgeroman. D.h. es wird sehr schnell klar, das es ein Werk davor gab, in der Scott Sanders schon aufgetreten ist und in der schon Dinge geschehen sind. D.h. die Hauptperson fragt sich immer wieder, ob nicht doch eine mysteriöse Gruppe aus dem ersten Buch hinter all den Geschehnissen steckt. Das tut dem Lesevergnügen aber keinen Abbruch, da es einfach zu dem Charakter gehört. Das Buch kann auch gut gelesen werden, ohne den ersten Teil gelesen zu haben. (Was ich übrigens nicht getan habe.)

Das Buch an sich ist sehr gut und anschaulich geschrieben. Ich hatte sichtlich Spaß daran, es zu lesen.
Für all die Techniker unter uns: „Der Katastrophen-Planet“ wurde 1977 veröffentlicht und beschreibt eine Raumfahrende Menschheit, wie sie es sich damals vorgestellt wurde.
Ich konnte mir also die ganzen Hebel und Kontrollen sichtlich gut vorstellen als 70er Jahre-Computer-Modelle. (Wir wissen ja alle, wie die damals aussahen mit ihren Bandlaufwerken.)

Jetzt werde ich nur noch schauen müssen, ob der erste Band (und ggf. Folgebände) sich in meine Bücherregale verirrt haben.
