In letzter Zeit habe ich an dem Thema sehr viel Gefallen gefunden und lese sehr es sehr gerne. Daher gibt es heute eine bekannte Persönlichkeit aus dem Imperium: Der Großadmiral Thrawn.

Nun kann es dem geneigten Leser meiner Buchrezensionen auffallen, das ich wohl hin und her im Star Wars-Universum lese. Mal ein Buch hier, mal ein Buch dort. Im Grunde genommen wollte ich die Bücher chronologisch lesen. Also von Vorne in der Zeitlinie mit dem Aufkommen der Je’daii, Jedi und Sith. Anschließend hätte ich mich bis zum Ende, dem letzten Buch in der Zeitlinie vorgearbeitet. Das hat aber nicht so direkt geklappt, da ich nun Thrawn lese. Und dieser Roman kommt erst weit später in meiner Reihenfolge.

Dabei besitze ich doch schon das richtige Buch dazu!
Nun, ich müsste es nur noch mitnehmen, dort wo ich gerade lesen will. So kam ich nun zur Geschichte von seiner Großadmiralität und seinem Werdegang.

Zu „Thrawn“

Thrawn

Ich finde es ist wahnsinnig gut geschrieben und mir persönlich gefällt vor allem die Charakterentwicklung. Man merkt förmlich wie Thrawn und alle Hauptcharaktere der Geschichte sich entwickeln. Alle Charaktere, die auch für zukünftige Handlungsstränge, die jetzt noch nicht von Bedeutung sind werden geschickt an die richtige Stelle justiert, damit man eine Ahnung hat, was sie später inne haben.
Hierbei bekommt man direkten Einblick in das analytische und strategische Denken des Chiss und seiner Lernkurve. Wenn man einen solchen Strategen wie Thrawn in der Flotte hat, dann muss schon sehr viel geschehen, dass das Imperium stürzt.

Wie schon oben genannt bekommt man einen sehr guten Einblick in das Leben des Großadmiral, bevor er überhaupt der Flotte beigetreten ist und auch seine Beweggründe sind offen und frei erkennbar. Der Autor hat immer wieder Gedankenfetzen, bzw. die Beobachtung des Chiss hervor gehoben, so das man hier mitbekommt, wie die Lernkurve ansteigt. Anfänglich scheint Thrawn noch wenig von den Menschen zu wissen, auch wenn er schon einen Jedi-Padawan mit dem Namen Anakin Skywalker getroffen hat. Später lernt er die Menschen zu lesen wie Bücher und kann damit eine Situation nach der anderen klären und steigt somit sehr schnell in der Hierachie der imperialen Flotte auf. Natürlich hat er auf dem Weg ein paar Steine aus dem Weg zu räumen.
