Jedi-Ritter. Es handelt sich um „Das Ultimatum“ von Troy Denning.
Die Geschichte fängt ein paar Bücher vorher nochmal an zu erzählen, welches mich etwas irritiert hat.
Es kommt dann jedoch schnell zum Zuge das hier der Autor eine Parallel-Zeitleiste aufmacht, welche einfach die gleiche Geschichte aus der Sicht zweier anderer Hauptpersonen erzählt. In „Das Ultimatum“ sind dies Han und Leia Solo.
In den Büchern davor wurde immer wieder beschrieben das diese beiden auf einer Mission seien und Dinge zu erledigen haben. Nun ist die Gelegenheit da, heraus zu finden was sie bis dahin erlebt haben.

Beide geöffneten Stränge (durch die anderen Bücher und dieses) werden später zu einem Strang zusammengefasst und folgen dann anschließend allen Personen. Hierdurch bleibt das übliche Gefühl gewahrt, welches ich bisher beim Lesen der Bücher hatte.
Leider ist es das vorerst letzte Buch der Reihe, welches ich lesen kann, da mir die restlichen Bücher noch fehlen. Sobald ich diese habe, werde ich aber auch den Rest lesen und hier dann meine Eindrücke veröffentlichen.

Die Handlung

Han und Leia sind wie gesagt auf der Mission einen Ort für die Jedi zu finden. Auf dem Weg dorthin erleben sie einige Unannehmlichkeiten, welche von den Yuuzhan Vong verursacht werden.
Währenddessen sind sie Zeuge, wie ein Yuuzhan Vong-Meisterspion (Nom Anor) Coruscant besucht um zum Rat zu sprechen. In dieser Zeit versucht auch Lando Calrissian seine neuen Anti-Vong-Droiden dem Staatsoberhaupt schmackhaft zu machen. Hier hilft der Gegner ein wenig nach, indem er versucht eben just dieses zu ermorden.

Auch finden die Jedi die Quelle für das Voxyn, welches sie insbesondere bedroht und schicken eine Gruppe von jungen Jedi auf die Reise um diese zu beseiten. Dabei sind auch die Zwillinge Jaina und Jacen, sowie Anakin und dessen Freundin Tahiri. Die Reise endet alles andere als erwartet und läuft nicht ohne Komplikationen ab.
