endlich darüber schreiben.

Diesmal habe ich die Gruppe nicht im Rahmen eines Festivals (Wie zum Beispiel auf dem Schlosshof Festival) genießen dürfen, sondern als „Omnia-only-Konzert“.

Wer die Band kennt, der weiß dass sie ihre Musik-Richtung selber als Pagan-Folk bezeichnen. Ihre Musik zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass sie immer wieder neue Stile entdecken und ausprobieren. Es gibt nicht das Omnia per se, sondern immer wieder Neues, Kreatives und Überraschendes. Dabei sind immer Didgeridoo, Harfe, Gitarre, Schlagzeug und Flöte zugegen.
Omnia schafft es aus all diesen Instrumenten sehr schöne Töne zu locken und diese teils mit Country, Rap oder Folk-Melodien zu verbinden. (Ja, eine Harfe als Rap-Untergrund funktioniert sehr gut.)

Zu Gast bei dieser Performance war an diesem Auftritt ein Künstler, der mit Kugeln Kunststücke vorführte. Er balancierte diese auf seinen Körper und warf sie ebenfalls in die Höhe. Leider habe ich bis jetzt seinen Namen vergessen.

Insgesamt hat seine Performance das Programm gut untermalt und ich habe das Konzert sehr genossen.
Omnia ist eine Band, die ich immer wieder sehen würde.

]]> 828 Schlosshof Festival 2014 – Omnia https://satishu.de/schlosshof-festival-2014-omnia/ Wed, 27 Aug 2014 15:45:00 +0000 https://satishu.de/?p=439 Obwohl das Konzert in Höchstadt nicht offiziell zu Promotion-Tour von Omnia zur neuen Earthwarrior-CD gehörte, konnte Steve es nicht lassen die neue CD einige Male zu erwähnen.
Dies sogar mehrere Male in Deutsch.

Die Band konnte das Publikum schon beim Soundcheck begeistern. Der Frontsänger musste dem vor der Bühne stehenden Leuten öfters sagen, das dies noch nicht das Konzert sei und die Band später erst auftreten würde.

Der Auftritt selber war dann phänomenal und begeisternswert.
Da ich unter anderem wegen dieser Band das Festival besucht habe und sie auch schon vorher live gesehen hatte, war es nicht schwer mich zu begeistern. Grundsätzlich hätte ich im Nachhinein die Band als Co-Headliner angesetzt.

Der Pagan-Folk-Stil von Omnia ist wie immer sehr individuell und auch gewohnt alternativ. Ich will damit sagen, das Omnia eine Musik macht, wie ich sie bisher noch nirgends gehört habe. Ausserdem versuchen die Niederländer auch eine Botschaft an die Zuhörer zu bringen.

Die Hauptbotschaft der Band ist, die Natur zu respektieren und sich nicht alles von jedem vorschreiben zu lassen. Wer Omnias Texte kennt, erkennt einen starken geistig, freiheitlichen Drang.
